Senior Human Resources Administrator

We are seeking a highly-organized, detail-oriented, and empathetic Senior Human Resources Administrator to administrate benefits, onboarding, payroll and HRIS in our people-focused company, keeping our organization’s values and culture front-and-center in all interactions.

The successful Senior Human Resources Administrator candidate will have both strategic and administrative responsibilities, handling all with kindness, tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment. He/she will have a demonstrated success record in Human Resources and a comprehensive understanding of benefits administration, compliance, payroll, and employee relations. This role is crucial in ensuring our human resource benefits offerings and processes meet the needs of our employees while aligning with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Build, foster, and model positive, meaningful relationships with new hires and existing employees
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and best practices to meet our growing business needs
  • Lead onboarding efforts, serving as point-of-contact for new hires, conducting new employee orientations, and ensuring an overall smooth onboarding experience that is reflective of our culture and values
  • Manage and administrate employee benefits programs, including health, dental, life, vision, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), COBRA, voluntary offerings, and wellness initiatives, including reconciling invoices on a monthly basis. Work with benefits providers to resolve issues and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Respond to employee benefit plans questions with a sense of urgency and compassion, serving as the onsite expert for all WARE benefit programs
  • Prepare employee benefits booklets and other employee benefit communications
  • Lead Open Enrollment process
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA and EEO regulations. Maintain/update HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with WARE HR policies and procedures
  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws
  • Serve as Paylocity system expert and provide HRIS data system administration expertise, creating reports to support decision-making, overseeing security access, and new module integration. Identify and resolve HRIS data issues, collaborating with end users and implementing changes/fixes as needed
  • Respond to requests for verification of employment
  • Research and stay up to date on relevant HR industry topics
  • Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as requested
  • Perform other duties as requested

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in benefits administration, payroll processing, and HRIS
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws, policies, and procedures
  • Well-organized with ability to balance priorities in a growing and changing environment, consistently performing with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent discernment and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to establish trust and demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Ability to remain nimble and adjust to unanticipated changes, often on short notice, and remain calm under pressure

Details:

  • Full time, in-office, salary position (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm), $60,000-$65,000/year
